Riding part III

Given that I'm riding Mata Hari 3-4 days a week now, Madison decided I needed to upgrade my riding apparel.  I couldn't actually argue that point.  My helmet was at least 7 years old and the rule is you should replace them every 5 years.  AND wearing jeans in a dressage saddle with old Ariat ProBaby crepe soled boots wasn't looking too hot (not to mention the seam in the jeans!).

Luck for me, we hit some great sales.  This GPS helmet was originally $599.95.  Let's call it $600 - seriously!  It was marked down to $349.95.  Not a ridiculous amount to protect my brain but still not exactly in the budget.  I got it HALF OFF the sale price!!!  And because I also bought a pair of paddock boots putting my total over $200, they gave me a gift certificate for $30.

A day later, Maggie told us that SmartPak was having a 20% off sale on their Piper breaches.  Madison needed new beige breaches and I ordered the navy blue ones.   Then I stopped back by the saddlery that was still having a sale, and used my $30 gift certificate to buy half chaps that were already 30% off!

Yeah, baby!  Now I look like I know what I'm doing as I walk, and walk, and walk our lovely mare!
