2010 Sapphire APHA Show

The weather last year at this show was cold and windy and rainy.  This year was no different.  What was different as that we weren't even sure Equestrian Girl and Stanley were going to be able to show.  Stanley had pulled a muscle in his front right leg on the Wednesday before the show and was quite lame.

Our big goal was making sure they could do showmanship.  Equestrian Girl was ahead in points by a good shot for Showmanship for the MPHC club year end standings but she HAD to participate in this show to be eligible for the award.

While they didn't do bad, it certainly wasn't their best showing of the year.  Both of them were a little tentative.
They started out looking nice!

Matching leg movement - both picking up the right leg to move forward.

Head down and backing willingly.

Set up square for inspection.

Equestrian Girl standing tall and proud!

Moving off in a pivot.

Exiting stage left.
