2010 Fall Color Classic APHA Show

The Fall Color Classic is the last big APHA show of the season - in Michigan.  But because it is such a big show it attracts lots of the out of state point chasers and heavy competition.  It's a long hard show but also one of our favorite shows!

Last year there were 4 of us (well, 4 riders plus me as the show mom).  This year just two riders and me.  But we still had fun and did a great job planning multiple crock pot meals!

We started out Friday and Saturday with showmanship under 4 judges each day:

It wasn't their best showing ever but it was very respectable with tough competition.

Next were the Hunter under Saddle classes.

The classes were big.  This is just one end of the arena.  You can see Stanley and Equestrian Girl just right of center (he's the only red roan!)

One end of the line up.

Bird's eye view of half the line up.

a little more of the line up...there were still more horses to the left.

Equestrian Girl and her friend E-girl always line up next to each other when they can.
