Iceland! Part 3


 This is waterfalls and geyser day.

The Gullfoss waterfall was amazingly beautiful!  It starts as just a normal meandering river and then the earth just opens up to try swallowing it.





Okay, these are out of order but I'm too tired to get them right.  The same day that we went to the waterfalls we also saw the geyser.  Getting pictures of this guy were difficult at best because he doesn't erupt on a regular schedule like some do.

Nobody got a better picture than this because we were very obviously standing on the WRONG side because as it got higher, the wind brought the water in our direction.  It's hot water so it wasn't terrible but still a bit shocking!








This is back by the geyser again.  This is a hot mineral spring like the blue lagoon.  This one isn't super hot, it's not boiling like some we saw later.  But you can see how not much of anything grows around these hot spots.



This is another one near the geyser that really showed off the blue color.  Smells like sulphur.


Okay, maybe this one is a little better....
