Buckeye Show part 3

Considering the weather, we were lucky that Roberts Arena had a big holding pen just outside the arena that was still indoors.  Other places we show don't have that luxury.  This first pic was taken in that holding pen as everyone is milling around with their horses waiting for their western pleasure classes to start.  Through that hallway in the back, you could get to another full size arena that was being used for practice.  Beyond that were two more practice or holding pens.  The place was huge and could easily hold 2-3 horse shows at the same time if they also used the outdoor arenas.

A good close up of the jacket Equestrian Girl made.  The rainbow was airbrushed by Cathy Pike at Airbrushedstuff.com  First she applied a layer of white followed by the 3 "Barbie" colors.  Equestrian Girl applied all the crystals finishing up late Friday night before the show.

The judges really liked Stanley, especially on Sunday when they cleaned up in the riding classes.

A good shot of the back view of the jacket.

Again it was small classes for Western too.

Horsemanship was so-so on Saturday but great placings on Sunday.

Stanley always listens to Equestrian Girl so intently.  Occasionally he disagrees with where she asks him to do something when he thinks it should be in another place but for the most part, he goes along with her perfectly.

The last horsemanship class was combined so it was the 13 & under kids along with the 14-18 kids.  That made it a 2 point class since there were more than 6!
