Girls Weekend!

For several years I've had a Friday morning business meeting up north but never felt comfortable taking the kids knowing they'd need to stay alone in the hotel for a few hours. This year, they were old enough.  Equestrian Girl elected to take her little cousin O and off we went for some up north adventure!

O is only a year and a half younger than Equestrian Girl but about half her size.  EG is tall - about 5'9".  O is short - not even close to 5' yet.  But they love each other like only cousins can!

They HAD to hit the beach that first night even though the sun was setting.

We stayed at the Cherry Tree Inn & Suites in Traverse City.  What an awesome hotel!  Very clean with this beautiful little beach. They also have both an indoor and outdoor pool and really nice breakfast.

This mother duck appeared out of nowhere with her ducklings.

 She herded them right past me and up towards the hotel where someone was throwing out bread crumbs for them!
