I've posted before about the Dad Dance that happens on the starting gates as all the Dad's of the younger riders get out on the gate and start rearranging the dirt with their feet. There's another dance they do once the race is in progress. They find a place on the track where they can get relatively close and wave their arms and yell at their kid to do stuff as they go past. I highly doubt many of the kids pay any attention. They are focused on the bike in front of them and going too fast to be looking for dear ol' dad.
But they yell and try anyway.
And point and wave their arms.
And then step back and wait for the next time they come past!!
The end. Of the Freelin September race pictures anyway.
