Equestrian Girl and her homeschooling buddy hijacked the iMac for some picture fun. I don't even know how they did some of this!!!

Oddly enough, there is this really pretty "patio" behind the bathrooms at the fairground that is beautifully landscaped with plants and flowers.  Equestrian Girl took Stanley onto the patio through a trellis and we got some really nice pictures of them together.

Midland NMPHC Show - Driving and Hunt Seat

Weather-wise this was one of our nicest horse show weekends all summer.  We had cool nights and beautifully sunny days.  We were lucky - not too far south of where we were in Midland it rained most of the weekend!

This was our first show in a long time using someone besides ME as Equestrian Girl's coach.  we hired Mark Smith to work with her on Saturday.  They had great rides and worked hard on what he told them to do.  It really paid off on Sunday when they pretty much won every class under both judges.

Very few shows ever have the driving classes but this family usually brings out the carts and they look awesome!  Their horses are so well rounded - they do EVERYTHING and I do mean everything because they go from driving to riding to showmanship to speed classes!

Midland NMPHC Show - Western Classes

On Saturday Equestrian Girl wore her red chaps with a white shirt and white hat.  On Sunday she kept the red chaps but went with black shirt and hat.  Both days she wore a very old scarf of mine (back from when that type of scarf was fashionable) that brought lots of compliments - its white, black and white so it went great with both outfits!

Glamour shot!  But the sky was so pretty and I get this view a lot standing on the ground looking up at my pretty daughter.  Better look at that ancient scarf too!

Hartland Houses

These houses overlook a small lake in Hartland - it's a little resort of sort mostly known for its golf course and camp grounds.  This first place is the big dining room and ball room.  It's beautiful - they were setting up for a wedding overlooking the lake.

This second really big house was newly landscaped and was gorgeous.

Here's the full front view of the house - it also looks out over the lake which is behind me.

This tiny little cottage was overwhelmed by the huge stone fireplace.

This cottage is only slightly bigger, mostly from the screened porch on the front and also has a huge stone chimney but the rock work is totally different.
