Those are just outside Ann Arbor so not bad. A good source for open shows is Saddle Up Magazine. You can view it online or pick up a free copy at most feed stores. There are a couple of open shows held at the Milford High School equestrian fields - one is on father's day. CMHA (Central Michigan Horseman Association) has a bunch of shows up at Shiawassee that are a little more competitive but they have a pretty big variety. There's a fun open show at the same place labor day weekend that's put on by the Morgan people. Most of the 4-H grounds also have some open shows - The one at Cohocta in Livingston County might be just as close as the one in Oakland County for you!PaintCrazyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04296622156862591411noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5324891797812462888.post-30492568686405146552012-01-15T18:36:51.672-05:002012-01-15T18:36:51.672-05:00Oh yea, oh and I'm not looking to move :) I di...Oh yea, oh and I'm not looking to move :) I did want to find out; how do u find the small local shows (more fun, in hand, or beginner type) in your area? I can't seem to find anything near us that I would want to try out. I used to show H/J back in HS (loooong time ago) and with my OTTB I wanted something local, low key and just fun to try come spring/summer. Thanks :)Kristen Eleni Shellenbargerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01458744919530540978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5324891797812462888.post-2543585025545361202012-01-15T18:21:12.509-05:002012-01-15T18:21:12.509-05:00Kristen, we board at Superior Stables in Superior ...Kristen, we board at Superior Stables in Superior Township.
